The 1degree Op Shop Challenge
AND YOU'RE ALL INVITED
June 01, 2009THIS week is going to be one big op shop party, and you’re all invited. While op shopping is my favourite thing, as regular readers of this blog already know, this week is about sharing op shopping tips, explaining why it’s good for the environment - and your bank balance – and, of course, sharing op shop stories.
I’d like bloggers to jump on board and this week, please, if you feel so inclined, post an op shop story or a favourite op shop purchase. I have stories of items I’ve missed out on, or fabulous buys I still pinch myself over. (One of them a Gucci bag I later Googled and found to be worth US$1300 – too true).
I’m also keen for you to post a heads up on the op shops around you, what they’re good for – some are better for those one-off retro pieces, while others have great selections of children’s books and toys. As you post, link to the 1degree op shop challenge and as we go along I’ll list the bloggers who have joined us.
Already on board is Claerwen, of Home Girl. Check out the links she’s found regarding the slow fashion posts of previous weeks.
