Domestic duties
THERE'S SIMPLY NO TAO OF POO
December 09, 2012
HANGING out the washing is one domestic chore I don't mind doing. I like the quiet contemplation at the line; the bending and stretching; the pattern of hanging out the smalls on inside lines and the heavier or bigger items on the outside lines where they'll catch the most breeze. I like to see whites flapping behind the olive tree and the corn stalks and climbing beans. I like how the sun makes the towels scratchy and the bed linen crisp. I like bringing that little bit of sunshine in, folding it and packing it away. If only I could bring a little zen to cleaning the loo.
