IT wasn't just the Famous Five off having adventures, you know. Long before Enid Blyton even threw out a "jolly good", or "by gosh" the Girl Guides were whipping themselves into a sleuthing frenzy. Don't go kiddin' yourself Girl Guides were in it for the Good Turn. From the get-go they wanted to be in the thick of things and, like Merry and Gay above, were dashing about doing it in blue. While the uniform has changed a bit, it's still made for adventure and on February 22 I'll be wearing mine to work. Honestly, there's no better place to feel the "thrill of adventure tingling in my veins" than my workplace, and, on what us Guides call Thinking Day, you'll spot us a handful of us wearing our uniforms to work and school just like they did back in the day.

Now, I just need to check with Merry and Gay how they kept those hats on - there's probably a knot I need to look up on YouTube.
