THE Colorado skirt below is not the only new skirt in my wardrobe. Well, it is the only new skirt, this one’s from the op shop. It’s got a high waist, fitted to the hips and then fans out with the assistance of a tulle underskirt. The hem and yoke are edged with black satin ribbon. I wore it out last week, pairing it with a brightly coloured tank - cut low at the back. It was a hot night and the swish-swish of the skirt gave the illusion I was cooler than I actually was. The belt is another recent op shop purchase. The skirt was $8 and the belt $1.
