THE recycling went up to the bin on Sunday night, so I had to go through the growing pile of what we in the newspaper industry call special publications. The collection may have got a little out of control in the past fortnight, but I love the glossy pages, the articles designed for time-poor media consumers and the frippery of them all. They’re all on their way to be recycled into office paper or cardboard boxes – except for these odd recipes, page layouts I liked and inspiration board clippings.
