YEP, another tag. There’s some housekeeping happening here at katiecrackernuts, can you tell? This time I was tagged by the darling Concrete and Honey.

Step 1: Respond & Rework - Answer the questions on your own blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.
Step 2: Tag-eight other un-tagged people.

What are you wearing now? A reworking of the Dinner Date outfit, sans shoulder pads. I am loving the tribal hot pink and cyan necklace I picked up at the Salvos. Haven’t seen it? Check it out here.

What is the title of the best book you've ever read? I just finished The Time Traveller’s Wife. Hands down best book I’ve read for such a long time. Sobbed through the final chapters. Sobbed.

Who was the last person you hugged? My main squeeze … and after that probably a Girl Guide. They’re a huggy bunch my Guides.

Which item from your closet are you wearing most lately? My thrifted black Red Tab Levis. Cost me $3. Yah.

What's for dinner? Oh God, you tell me. For the first time ever, while doing the weekly grocery shop, I stocked up on those packet recipe mixes. We have a vegetarian, a no red-meat eater (me) and a fussy eater and I can honestly say I have zero tolerance for cooking at the moment. On Saturday night it was a Masterfoods Chicken and Cashew Nut dish, and on Sunday we had chicken schnitzels with another Masterfoods temptation – the Cheesy Vegetable Bake.

What was the last thing you bought? Masterfoods recipe mixes.

What are you listening to right now? I have The Howling Bells release on rotation in the car. It came out March 6, but as one of the perks of being an entertainment journalist I had it early. Get it, it’s good.

If you could have any super power, what would it be? Funny, this is a dinner conversation favourite in our house. Mine would be to be invisible (so I could be a fly on the wall and spy on people).

What is your favorite weather, and why? I love sunny days, hot days, cold days, even rainy days … I DO NOT like windy days.

What time do you usually get up? 5.45am. Yup. Hideous isn’t it.

What is your most challenging goal right now? Trying to juggle our household. My partner and I work fulltime, we both do volunteer work and my partner has taken on fulltime, external university study. We have a dependent 20-year-old at home, a very trying nearly 18-year-old (who should be studying for her final exams, but after 12 years of study has decided to faff about), a 15-year-old and a demanding, anxiety-riddled dog.

Say something to the person who tagged you: Your blog is on fire. Good luck with that dream of taking your blogging life into your working life.

Favorite vacation spot? If only I could have a break. I’ve a short one planned for May. I am planning and scheming. There’s a blog post to come.

Name the things you cannot live without: My alarm clock, coffee, camera, pens, paper.

What movies can you watch over and over? Not one. Once I’ve seen it, I’m pretty much done with it.

What is your favorite tea flavour? Black tea. With milk. No sugar.

What are your daily rituals? My morning ritual is: get up, make bed, Salute the Sun (yes, probably should do it before I run), do weights, turn on computer, flick kettle on and ready the teapot with a spoonful of tea leaves, shower and put on PJs or daggys to slop around in, blog, pour tea and eat breakfast while reading a few pages of my current book or magazine, prepare lunch, wash up, dress for work, put on makeup, do a whip around and check children are up and getting ready for school, clean up children’s rooms, hang out the last wash from last night, close up house and pull down outside blinds, drive to work. When Daylight Saving ends I might be able to get back to running in the morning. At the moment it's too dark when I get up.
