FORGET what the critics say. Australia was wonderful, truly magical, romantic, dreamy ... wonderful. If you're looking for something realistic and probing, or a movie that's making a comment on the Stolen Children, this isn't it. It's pure movie escapism and I'm for it. Go on, spoil yourself. Forget your cares and troubles for near on three hours and you'll be all the better for it. Even better, get along to see photographer Douglas Kirkland's exhibition of photos taken during filming. It's at Cinema Paris, at Fox Studios, Sydney, until the end of the month.

  3. ooooh i'm dying to see this film as i'm a big baz fan. glad to hear you got carried away and enjoyed it so much. btw thanks for your recent comments. i love getting your technical backup with the photos and i also v much enjoyed your teenagers rant (u provide such a facinating insight into what is ahead - i'm trembling!). totally think u did the right thing. i get the impression u put tons of energy into 'wholesome but fun' family activities - they are so lucky u care enough and r selfless enough to do this. putting your own needs first for once seemed to prove a point. go girl sounds like the timing was spot on xxxx
