NOT really an embroidery design as such, but it was the first cross-stitch piece I did, with my Mum's help. I think I was still in primary school. I can't recall whether she designed it for me, but I think she might have. I use it as a bookmark and it is my first contribution to this week of embroidery design as noted on Meet Me at Mikes and inspired by Floresita.
