THERE'S nothing like a week at home doing not very much to restore the body, mind and soul. Better yet, two weeks. Here's to another week of blogging, making, gardening, cooking and op shopping.

THINGS TO MAKE AND DO: A baby boy is on its way. Grandchild No.2 arrives in September and there's been a flurry of making to welcome it to the family. Something just like this will be my contribution to sit alongside his aunty's knitted jacket and Great Great Grand Nana's (there should be a 'step' in there somewhere but we stopped adding these years ago) hand knitted, leaf motif pram blanket (in lemon with a lemon fleck).

THINGS TO COOK AND EAT: It's autumn and that calls for warm, autumn flavours and things that can be cooked in cast iron. Mmmmmm, comfort food.

THINGS TO DROP DOUGH ON: A pinch pot. Yeah, you could make it, but it would be nowhere as grand and as functional as this one.

THINGS TO HANG ON THE WALL: Autumn is my favourite time of the year for bushwalking and camping. Sunny days and cool, even crisp evenings to make sitting around a campfire worth it. This catalogue of gear is a reminder of all the simple things I adore about camping.

#flashback: Here's what made the Pinterest cut this time last year.
