IT'S been so nice to be home for the past week and enjoy Christmas without juggling work and my four-hour-a-day commute. I've been running, pottering about the house, plotting and planning the coming year. So much to do. So much already planned. How's your 2013 looking?

IN DECEMBER...
I READ: Patti Smith's Woolgathering. Not fussed. It left me feeling so sad. A friend loaned me Caitlin Moran's How to be a Woman as an antedote. Still not fussed. What am I not getting here? I'm just like, ho hum. I'm only about three chapters in so I'll stick with it a bit longer but honestly, I don't think I'll make it all the way through.
I WENT TO: The Sydney International Equestrian Centre for this year's Mud Run. I ran with a great team, it was a great, sweaty, muddy, icky day but I couldn't get it out of my head that I was probably wading through horse poop.
Much nicer was a day out with girlfriends at Pearl Beach. The Pearl Beach Cafe for lunch and a swim after. Sweet.
I LISTENED TO: Sarah Humphrey's new album Hello. It was on my Christmas wish list.
I ATE: Way too much shortbread. We only ever have it at Christmas time.
I SAW: Skyfall. I saw it only last night. Cripes. The movie-going is a little behind isn't it? Fortunately I have no desire to see The Hobbit. I would like to see Les Mis though.
