I'M ALL FOR A GOOD STOCKING FILLER
November 25, 2012
STOCKING fillers have had bad press but I don't mind a good stocking filler. A friend and I were trawling Newcastle's Olive Tree Market last weekend chatting about how we like those things often maligned as stocking fillers like a nice soap, sweet hankies, a set of note cards or a handmade coat hanger.
Stocking fillers aside, here's what's on my Christmas wish-list radar:
1. ASOS dress (on sale). 2. Stone & Honey VEA earrings (on sale). 3. Sarah Humphrey's new album "Hello". 4. Mid-century wicker carafe and glasses. 5. Vintage wooden index card box. 6. Mr Kitly planters, via Stefanie Ingram. 7. This print is no longer available, but any of Bridget Farmer's etchings will do. 8. Cate Kennedy's new book of short stories.
Do you like a good stocking filler? What would you like to see in your stocking this year?
