I HAVE an older Android phone. It’s served me very well. My only complaint is that, at near on two years old, a lot of new apps won’t work with it.

I look at all you folks Instagram’ing away but, woe is me, when I tried to download the app to my phone it rudely reminded me I was due to upgrade. Hmmph. It's a perfectly good phone.

So, squint at these pics, or maybe hold up some scrunched up yellow cellophane to the screen, and you'll get a quasi Instagram round-up of my latest doings. I call it DIY Instagram for non-Instagrammers.

The new local, Piccolo Pear.

Sweet '60s teen mysteries shared on Twitter using #opshopfound.

#opshopfound Pyrex. Found and left for you. Did you #opshopscore it?

An #opshopscore of my own.

The ideal lightweight hike kit laid out for the Girl Guides to pick over.

So, what old-school Android photo apps do you think I should try?

  2. Thankfully Instagram works on my android phone, I have to say I jumped for joy when I heard it was available and quickly downloaded it and away I went.
Well actually I hardly use it because living in such a backward country we don't have broadband at home so no wireless modem. We have to wait until 3 of our neighbours move so we can go up the waiting list for broadband (sorry to bore you but it's a pet peeve!)I have to rely on a T-stick and only 4GB a month - yes it's like being on a constant diet!
