I POTTERED about the house yesterday morning, making chutney, dusting, sweeping ... you know all the usual things. Except in our house, they're not that usual. They're rushed and done in between other things, or not done, or half done. 

I've enjoyed having a week at home. The pace slows, things get done, things slip into an easier, more gentle rhythm and time is made for nice things like a mid-week dinner date to my favourite pizza restaurant and the movies.

Oh, and I made chutney.
