Miss Cherry Chocolate's idea that the skirt should be a riot of jewel-like tones almost had me colouring it as she'd imagined.

Quiet Paw's idea for a purple sheer with black polka-dots, what can I say, she knows me too well. I'd have loved this shirt even more had it been true. Tracey, of Quiet Paws, is from Brisbane so a big, dry, sunny, hoy hoy to you Tracey. Hope you're OK.

Four Leaves, how cool would it be if the palazzo pants were an on-trend denim?

In flood news, my sister phoned for the first time last night. She has settled the family into a house out of Brisbane and will be trying to get news today on how far the Brisbane River peak came into her house. My nephew, 5, is distressed and clingy and started crying when a shoping centre alarm went off yesterday. Poor dot. The neighbours in her street have a plan to pitch in and start cleaning out the house at the bottom of the hill and work their way up. Good plan, hey?

  1. Wow! Will you just look at those colours!! They're vibrant and fabulous!! :D

That skirt in particular is amazing ... actually no, strike that - I love them all (even if my polka dot colour choice wasn't quite right).

I'm safe and well now - thanks so much for your dry and sunny wishes. It's just been hard to focus on much at all with all the chaos happening around the city ... I hope your sister's house won't be too badly damaged.

    Take care.
