BORLOTTI beans from the garden – a garden I yesterday weeded and mulched. Coriander seed went in, along with rocket seedlings, more lettuce and chillies. The pumpkin is up and starting to run. The tomatoes are flowering and the capsicum is doing OK now I’ve cut cloches from PET bottles to stop the slugs snacking on the new leaves. The strawberries are still fruiting, the olive looks healthy, the herbs look lush and even though I failed to do much with my lemons this year, the old tree looks like it’s got a few more seasons in it yet. Bless the rain.

  4. Our garden is revving up too - strawberries, herbs, pumpkins, tomatoes, capsicums, leafy greens... and more! We've been combatting an infestation of black aphids, but I think we are finally winning. Hooray for rain & sunshine!
