OK. Say it. I’ve gone too far with the whole 1980s thing. Oh come on. At $10, would you have left it hanging there? The print and bodice look like the Studibaker Hawk "Spiderwoman" dress (1985) from the current edition of Australia Vogue (P.307). Now, I have to muster up the courage to wear it.

  1. I don't wear strapless so yes, I would have left it hanging there. If you can do strapless though, then go for it! Those Studebaker dresses were all the rage when I was in high school, I come across them in the ops from time to time, there were an awful lot of them out there, some nice like this one and some super fug!

  4. Oh I LOVE this find! I reckon that dress would look great cut shorter & hemmed, so that the ruffle hangs a little below the seam line. Giving it the chop might help you get more wear out of it ~ if you're anything like me, long straight dresses seem more formal whereas shorter clothes can be a bit more fun and versatile. throw some leggings underneath and you're off!
