HAVE you noticed the era of huge, back-breaking, can’t-find-my-keys bags has ended? Is it just me or are all the young things slinging sensibly smaller disco bags over their shoulders? You know the type – they have just enough room for the house key, a bit of cash and your ID. I bought this bag at an op shop for a measly $4 a couple of weeks back, before I’d even noticed the trend. It’s my go-to bag now. So easy to pack with a few essentials, sling over the shoulder and head off. I feel somewhat lighter. Less weighed down.

PS: The necklace and belt are also recent op shop find. I did say I was on a roll.

  2. Oooh! I'm liking that cute little thing a lot!! I never got into that massive bag trend myself as I'm a smallish person and I think it would look silly for me!! P.S. Mad Men was hunted down and found in my local Potts Point Video store! I have been hanging around the very spot in the store where it was due to appear for weekes now and ready to pounce as soon as it came in!! My boyfriend bless his cotton socks got there first!!

  3. I'll miss melbourne too! but i'll be back!

i was given a lovely bag and I started to use it instead of my little leather bag. but in the end i had to go back to my little leather bag because the new one was just too big! i just kept loosing everything in it, and I always had to take out just my purse, phone, keys and put them into a back pack because me hand bag was too big to take as well as the back pack. now my leather bag fits in the back pack and i'm al happy again. change is bad (unless you're moving home to belfast!)

  4. Haha! "Disco bags"!

I've tried using small bags for day but I just seem to have too much crap to carry around. Plus if I'm out shopping, I like to be able to fit everything into the bag that I'm carrying - I always say 'no' to plastic bags (unless it's for wet food items) and I hate carrying numerous shopping bags.

  8. Great little bag! I need something like that for the rare occasion I pop out without the kids, my usual bag is full of rusks, sultanas, toys, bits of fluff, flowers...
