IF you’re not planning on buying new books for the entire year you really shouldn’t go to a writers’ festival, should you? Hmmm, five months in and my resolve was weakening. Now come on. Five months, that’s not bad. Truth be told, I did plan to go to the festival but bailed on much of it and managed to get away without buying a single book. I did spend up big at the Museum of Sydney’s Historic Houses Trust bookshop though. Bibliophiles Anonymous – meeting here soon.
