CHECK out Betty Bombshell’s listing for an acid wash denim dress - that I just happen to adore. The bidding ended on February 11 at $149.17. There were 14 bids put in. I watched the item for a few days before it edged right out of my tight-arse price range.

Can you imagine how delighted I was to see it pop up again, this time listed by fidi123y? The thing is it sold for $51, nearly a third of the price from earlier this month, and there were 17 bidders vying for it. Why? Why? Why? I don't think they're actually the same dress, but they're pretty similar. Both sellers loaded plenty of pics to show off their respective dresses and the descriptions were good. What am I missing here?

Oh, and if you happen to have one in a size 8 going to waste in your wardrobe, it's my birthday tomorrow ... cough, hint, cough.

  3. I had one of those dresses when I was 15! It was from some el cheapo high street knock-off type shop, so there must be millions of them out there in the world. Keep looking, one will appear for two bucks. Happy belated birthday!

  4. Ebay is a strange strange beast. I'm always fighting with it for giving things that are destined to me mine, to someone else instead!
