THE sun returned on Saturday and after dropping one of the teens to work I continued on to the beach, slipped, slopped and slapped and sat with a coffee and book. It’s Anita Shreve’s A Wedding In December. I needed something light and this was sitting among the unread books on the bookshelf. It’s nice to be reading again. By vocation I read every day, but it’s nice to read to unwind and kick back. The beach was the perfect place to dive into the pages of Shreve’s 2005 novel.
