THE sun returned on Saturday and after dropping one of the teens to work I continued on to the beach, slipped, slopped and slapped and sat with a coffee and book. It’s Anita Shreve’s A Wedding In December. I needed something light and this was sitting among the unread books on the bookshelf. It’s nice to be reading again. By vocation I read every day, but it’s nice to read to unwind and kick back. The beach was the perfect place to dive into the pages of Shreve’s 2005 novel.

  1. niiice little reading possie. I picked up Teh Time Traveller's Wife off the shelf where it has been waiting for me for a couple of years. It's a little disappointing, but I am still loving reading again.

  3. Sitting on the beach with a good book sounds like my kind of weekend! By the way, the beetle book you've been eyeing off on my blog is fantastic. Just a gorgeous book filled with gorgeous photos of beetles (and I think there is a second edition out too). I'd highly recommend it!
