LETTUCE picked from the garden. No bugs this year, no snails and no slugs. The garden gods are smiling on me. The rainfall has been frequent and I haven’t had to rely on bucketing soapy suds from my washing machine. The mulch is down. The celery is nearly ready to feast on, the coriander is up, the rocket nearly ready to go back in, the tomatoes looking good … this little green thumb is happy.

  3. wow, I'm amazed! Looks delicious.

Perhaps you could ask your garden gods to glance in my direction and ask the tiny little grasshoppers with big appetites for my herbs to hop away.
