A DOMESTIC image from the weekend's etching workshop. The banksias below were from day one. I wasn't expecting our tutor to suggest a new technique on the following day. We built up our work and bites on the first day and on the second day subtracted lines. I had been hoping to work more on tone bites and had ideas for developing the second banksia seen in the post below. Alas, there was not enough time because I had to leave a little early. I was happy with this line etch - plucked from my head and inspired but what I'd done when I arrived home Saturday afternoon. It hasn't reproduced very well here but I'll frame it to remind myself I do have moments of making.
