THE weeks are just flying by and before long we’ll be popping corks from the Christmas bubbly. I’ve been thinking about this year’s Christmas cards. A couple of years ago I did a lino print of a banksia. I made prints on a fine red tissue paper and mounted them using two tiny gold split pins to handmade paper. I am thinking of continuing the theme and have been snapping pictures of coastal textures for inspiration.

  2. Coastal plants have such different textures to "regular" plants. Thick, furry, leathery... I can definitely see why you're inspired by these. I only know the bottom one as "pig face" but I have no idea what its real name is.

Your idea for christmas cards sounds great.
