I HAVE just finished Kate Llewellyn’s The Dressmaker’s Daughter and was wondering what to read next. I bought Geraldine Brooks’ People of the Book with a gift voucher the family gave me for my birthday. But I also, this week, took a bag of books to my friendly book exchange and, without having to hand over a single cent, brought home these treasures. Lily Brett’s Too Many Men, Jeanette Winterson’s Art and Lies, Catherine Cole’s The Grave at Thu Le and Marsha Mehran’s Pomegranate Soup. Any advice? What should I read next?
