IN the past week we’ve cooked up two big pots of pumpkin soup. Hearty and thick, our pumpkin soup is not without its magic ingredient, cumin. We ran out of ground cumin and pounded up some seeds instead. The soup was better. Much, much better.

  2. Oh I love getting out the mortar and pestle. I used mine today to crush garlic/thyme/parsley for garlic bread. Pumpkin soup sounds gooood - I'm glad it's getting into soup weather:)

  3. i love love love pumpkin soup. COuld eat it once a week. Sadly my husband and son hate it, so I can only indulge when by myself or out.
    I made a thai variation once. Yum!
